Ficus “Willow Leaf” (Salicaria) 5” pot

This plant is commonly grown as a bonsai but can also be kept as a houseplant. This Ficus is admired for its elongated green leaves resembling those of a willow tree, making it an excellent option for minimalist plant styling. It can develop a woody trunk as it matures. 

CARE: 

• Does best with consistent bright indirect light 
• Benefits from a few hours of the morning sun, but avoid prolonged exposure to strong afternoon sun during peak summer months
• It can be prone to leaf loss if there’s a sudden change in its environment. It's best to keep it in a warm, consistent environment and avoid abrupt temperature shifts to cold drafts or intense heat, which can stress the plant. 
• It does best with moderate to high humidity settings.
• Water when 1/3 of the soil is dry 
• Maintain with light pruning during or at the end of the growing season (to avoid a scraggly appearance)
